Parlour music

Parlour music is an electroacoustic composition derived from an earlier work, Nice girls don't, that is scored for violin, cello, piano, and recorded sound. I had hoped to present a performance of Nice girls don't at the Eastman School of Music in October 2016 to commemorate the 40th anniversary of my graduation from that august institution, but recruiting student performers for the concert proved to be impractical. As a substitute, I edited the recorded sound into a stand-alone composition, transferred the audio to a custom-cut vinyl record, and played the record onstage for the performance.
